 here goes…. there’s a LIVE RAKU FIRING (a very specialised Japaneese form of firing pots) a VINTAGE RALLY, LIVE MUSIC, MULLED WINE and MINCE PIES, JAMES WRIGHT is moving into his NEW STUDIO, there’s WINE TASTEING in Priory House Furnishings new showhouse in the OLD BENBURB HOTEL, FRANCES McKENNA is exhibiting some new PAINTINGS, ALISON and STEPHEN will be showing off some fine new BASKETS and POTTERY, PRIORY HOUSE WEST which is under the new management of SEAN and RAMUNE FARNAN will be letting you sample many of their delights…. and if that wasn’t enough REBECCA HUGHES PHOTOGRAPHY will be doing a BENBURB CHRISTMAS SHOOT…. New Development at Priory Stables
After the completion of Priory Cottages we are onto stage two of the development Benburb as a centre for Arts and Crafts. From this spring the original stables and courtyard will be redeveloped into a series of units and office premises upstairs… so watch this space. Golfers and non alike take note! The Priory Benburb are having a Golf Classic event on Friday 18th August at Armagh County Golf Club. Contact Noilin at the Priory to sign up a team. Teams should be made up of 4 people and it’s a £160 entry fee, there will be a buffet that evening in the Golf Club for all those involved… so whether you can play or not why not come along (apparently there will be scouts looking for a few more Ryder Cup palyers, honestly)….
Welcome to Benburb.com…Well we are off and running and bringing Benburb right into the 21st Century. (joke!) If this is your first visit I would say ‘do pop back’ as there will be regular updates on what is happening in Benburb, from re-inactments of the Battle of Benburb to Art exhibitions, whatever it is you’ll hear about it here first.
