Welcome To Benburb

Benburb and the Mill straddle the River Blackwater that cuts between the lush rolling hills of Tyrone and Armagh. Steeped in one of Ulsters most tumultuous periods of history this area has seen the passing of the ONiells, Powerscourts, Bruces, US Army and many a battle in its colourful past. More recently the area has become recognised as a centre for the practice of Art, Craft & Design. This hub of studio based businesses being complimented perfectly by the award winning Priory House Restaurant and Bistro, which offers the perfect spot for a quiet coffee, lunch or dinner. With its serpentine trail, the river has hewn a beautiful gorge that you can navigate on our eco-trail through Benburb Valley Park, between Benburb and the Mill; perfect for canoeing, fishing and walking. The Servite Priory which for over 50 years has been home to the Servite community is used as a recreational facility for people wishing to expand their skills in cultural activities or for those wishing to participate in courses in spiritual and human development, or simply to stop over in Benburb for the night! Whatever your reason for visiting Benburb we believe you can only benefit from its relaxing yet fascinating atmosphere.
