Stephen Farnan
Pottery and Landscapes
Fast becoming a leader in contemporary Irish pottery, After working in America with potter Liz Kinder Stephen felt it was time to return home, put down his roots and start up his own pottery business – and he hasn’t looked back since!
Stephen Farnan’s designs are far removed from the traditional and sometimes conservative pots made in Ireland. The quirky and unapologetic pieces aim to make the lives of those who buy them as colourful and interesting as possible, employing vibrant reds, greens, chocolate browns and blues to get their message across!
Stephen is also developing a port folio of limited edition prints, inspired by the dramatic, rich landscapes that pepper Ireland. From prints of Belfast drawn from Cavehill, to Galway Bay, the Mourne Mountains and Cliffs of Moher, he produces them in stunning black and white or a soft antique colour. Stephen showcases his work throughout Ireland, as well as the rest of the world.
